I am considering a Majestic Beauty olive to shade a meditation garden adjacent to a swimming pool. I've gathered that the fruitless varieties of olive have much less debris than fruiting olives, but how much debris are there? While the tree is evergreen, does it shed leaves continually? Does it shed flowers and pollen in spring? |
Fruitless olive trees can bear some fruit, but Majestic Beauty is the most barren of all the fruitless varieties. You can expect some leaf drop during the summer months when older leaves are replaced by new ones, and except for an occasional dropping fruit, a Majestic Beauty will be reasonably litter-free. |
