Pieris japonica is a slow growing evergreen. Flower colors run in the white to pink range. Size will depend on variety, but the white flowered variety called "Mountain Fire" should mature in the six to ten foot range for height and width. It does best in an organic, humusy, acidic soil that stays evenly moist yet is well drained (never soggy). It will grow in partial shade to full sun. Ideally it would be sheltered from winter wind as well.
