Are these perennials in my area and how do I prepare them for winter so they come back in the spring?

Caladiums are native to the tropics where temperatures rarely drop below 60F. If frost is likely, dig the tubers and store them in dry peat moss at temperatures of 50F - 60F. Replant in the spring when nighttime temperatures remain above 60F.
