The Q&A Archives: Cestrum Nocturnum Pruning

Question: What is best way to prune and winterize my night blooming jasmine (cestrum nocturnum)?

Answer: Cestrum nocturnum is winter hardy in your mild climate so nothing special needs to be done to keep it healthy until next spring. You can prune it back quite severely and it will come back with great vigor! Normal pruning time is after flowering finishes for the season, or if you enjoy feeding the birds, prune it back when the berries are gone.
