The Q&A Archives: Pruning Kerria

Question: When should I cut my kerria back? I don't want to stunt the flowering next spring.

Answer: Kerria is best pruned in the spring right after the first flush of blooms because it blooms on "old wood"; if there are any winter damaged or broken stems you may remove them earlier in the season.
