Wild birds appreciate and enjoy a bath and some fresh drinking water during the winter months. If your birdbath is inch-thick concrete, it should be fine outdoors during snowy and icy winter weather. If it's terra-cotta or glazed ceramic, it won't hold up to the elements and should be stored in a protected place during the winter months.
