Can I plant Tsuga canadensis 'Cole's Prostate' and Abies balsamea 'Nana' in a sunny location?
The plants would receive sun until appr. 2:00 P.M. in the hot summer and after that they would be some what shaded by an appel tree.

That kind of lighting should be fine for these plants. You might want to check with your local professional nursery staff as to their suitability for the site you have in mind based on a more detailed description of the planting site such as wind exposure and soil conditions and space available. They may also have additional suggestions for you. Good luck with your evergreens!
