I am looking to plant possibly a row of trees between my
fence and swimming pool (The fence is 5 feet from the pool,
not much room) The width I'm needing to span is 30'-40' and
would like the trees to grow around 25'-45'.

I was thinking of plantiing Italian cypress close together
hoping they might help block the house that is right next to my fence.

Maintenace is an issue especially w/ the pool.

Any suggestions or warnings for this issue would be appreciated.

Thank You,
Kris

Italian cypress would be suitable plants for the area you describe. They're reasonably litter-free and will grow tall enough to provide a privacy screen with growing too wide for the planting area. A second suggestion is a row of Thuja (arborvitae). These plants have a tall, narrow growth habit and are relatively maintenance free. Best wishes with your privacy screen!
