I have planted dwarf pampas grass and regular pampas grass. How far should I cut it back for winter? |
If what you planted are the true pampas grasses, the smaller Cortaderia selloana 'Pumila' and the full sized Cortaderia selloana, they would not be expected to survive the winter in your area. If on the other hand you planted some of the hardier ornamental grasses, you could cut them back to about four to six inches tall in either the fall or early spring. |
