The Q&A Archives: lambs ear

Question: Does Lamb's Ears need to be pruned?

Answer: No, you don't HAVE to prune Lamb's Ears (Stachys). If you don't like the look of the spent flower stalk, you can cut it back. Some people plant it for the beauty of it's leaves in winter. I don't know about your garden, but I couldn't see Lamb's Ears if I wanted to right now. Too much snow!
