I am seeing black spotting on some Kinnikinnick. It is in a variety of conditons and doesn't appear to be due to over-watering on particular area - all are in either full or partial sun. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance - JM

Kinnikinnick can develop both fungal and bacterial leaf spots. You'll need a positive diagnosis before you can decide on a control. Take a sample of the problem to your local Cooperative Extension office or Master Gardener clinic and they'll provide identification of the problem plus control options. (Phone 206-296-3900 for directions to the nearest diagnostic clinic.) Best wishes with your groundcover!
