I am trying to find two camillias that I have seen. One is either called Howard Asper or Mrs. Howard Asper. It has huge red flowers with yellow stamens. Another is a large white (spelling??) Ecelfield. Thank you in advance for any info that you might give me.

There is a lovely camellia called Howard Asper, not surprising since he was a famed camellia breeder. There is another camellia named Mrs. Howard Asper (also called Hana-Fuki with and without the hyphen.) Unfortunately I am unable to find reference to a camellia with a name Ecelfield or anything similar to that.

I would suggest you contact your local professional nursery staff to see if they can assist you in obtaining these. There is a zip code locator service at the Monroiva web site to help locate dealers for Monrovia (and other) products at http://www.monrovia.com/dealer...

For further help in locating a local source, you might try contacting the camellia experts at Descanso Gardens. http://www.descanso.com/ or
1418 Descanso Dr., La Ca?ada Flintridge, CA 91011 or (818) 952-4400 Their extensive display garden was originally designed by Howard Astor so I would surmise they might have a special interest in plants associated with him.

You could also try the American Camellia Society
http://www.camellias-acs.com/i...

or the International Camellia Society
http://camellia-ics.org/

best of luck in your search, I am sorry I can't be more immediately helpful.
