| Coreopsis is a perennial in your mild winter gardening climate and the plant will spread by underground roots and through self-seeding. If your clump of coreopsis is large, you can dig and divide the plant in early spring or late fall, when weather is cool and rain abundant. Carefully dig the entire plant, trying not to damage too many roots. Once it's out of the ground, divide the rootmass so that each division has some stems and leaves attached. Replant and water well. New growth will indicate each new plant has established itself in your garden. |
