Are there any special requirements or amendments for a Tricolor Beech in our Illinois area? |
Beech trees require an acidic soil in the 5.0 to 6.5 range, the soil must also be moist yet well drained. In addition, a particularly cold, exposed or windy location should also be avoided as should a hot/dry site. You might want to run some basic soil tests and consult with your county extension as to whether or not you have a suitable location for this tree. |
