I just wanted to know if i can grow a Mexican Fan Palm in my area, without it dying?

Mexican fan palm (Washingtonia robusta) is hardy to about 20F. It would be marginal in your gardening region. Although your normal winter temperatures remain above 20F, there's a possibility of an especially cold winter, which would kill the palm tree. If you like the look of palms, try growing Chamaerops humilis (Mediterranean fan palm). It's the hardiest palm of all, tolerating low temperatures of zero F.
