Can flowering sweet peas and edible sugar snap peas be grown close together in a small garden? If cross pollination occurs, is it safe to eat the peas?

There should be no problem with eating the sugar snap peas even if they're growing close to sweet peas. Just don't mistake the pea pods and eat the wrong ones!
