I need a plant (shrub?) that will thrive in an enclosed corner of the house that faces South West. Somthing bushy and has blossoms that are either pink, white, lavender, or blue (no gold, red, yellow, orange). Height: 4 to 6'. Any suggestions would be most helpful. THanks. |
By enclosed, I take it to mean an area that's hot and dry during the summer months, with little air circulation. If so, your choices are limited to plants which thrive under arid conditions. Some suggestions include Alyogyne huegelii (blue hibiscus), Ceanothus (wild lilac), Cercus occidentalis (western redbud), Cordia boissieri, Dodonaea viscosa (hop bush) or Fallugia paradoxa (Apache plume). Good luck with your new shrub! |
