What is a good substitute for Bambusa multiplex "Riviereorum" (Chinese Goddess) bamboo? For growing in pots.

How about dwarf whitestripe (Phyllostachys variegata) which tops out at about 2' in height, or p. nigra (black bamboo) at 4'-8' in height. Another suggestion is Bambusa ventricosa (Buddha's Belly) which grows only 3'-6' tall. All will grow well in containers.
