Your gardening region is marginal for Bignonia capreolata. Crossvine is native to the southern states, and are evergreen there. In your zone, cold temperatures will make the vines shed their leaves during the winter months, but new foliage will develop the following spring. Plant your crossvine in full sunshine, in a spot protected from drying winter winds if possible, to get best growth and bloom.
