| Please tell me how fast Pink Princess Escallonia will grow in one year. I am thinking of using the plant near a chain link fence. I understand the plant grows to 6' high and 5' in width. It also seems to me it would make a nice colorful windbreak and backdrop for the perimeter of the yard. Thank you. |
| Under absolutely perfect growing conditions, your escallonia can grow moderately fast (6"-12" per year). To encourage a dense growth pattern, lightly prune after flowering. The shrubs will produce two shoots where one was - making it thicker and denser - perfect for a screening hedge. |
