Monrovia's Chinese Pistache is seed-grown and sold as ornamental. If you have a female tree and a male is growing nearby, you'll have fruit. Both male and female trees produce flowers. You can tell which is which by dissecting the flowers. Male flowers will have only stamens (filament and pollen topped anther); female flowers will have stigma, style and ovary.
