We are getting ready to plant a front yard tree, which we would like to grow tall (but not so wide). Are there any evergreens (stay green all year) with vibrant green leaves? I'm not a huge fan of pines, but would consider it if there is a variety with very green color. We live in a Craftsman house and would like it to somehow "go with that style".
Thank you for your time!

There are a few broadleaf evergreen trees with tall, narrow growth habits suitable for your growing region. Consider planting Columnar Hornbeam, Magnolia grandiflora 'Alba', Arbutus (strawberry tree), or Rhus ovata (sugar sumac).
