| Japanese maples are sensitive to too much afternoon sunshine, but this is the first I've heard of a sensitivity to tap water. If your water is safe to drink, it's safe for your maple. As moisture trickles down through the soil particles it will go through a natural filtering process before it reaches the roots of your tree. Go ahead and use tap water to water your maple. |
