| The foliage on your Castanopsis should be deep green above and bronze beneath. If new foliage is emerging yellow rather than green, give them a few weeks to mature. If color doesn't change to deep green, you can fertilize your tree to help it green up. Sometimes soil is too acidic or alkaline to meet a plant's requirements.(Soil that's too acidic or alklaline can bind up nutrients and make them unavailable to plants.) If you fertilize, be sure to apply in amounts recommended on the package label - too much of a good thing can have dire results! Best wishes with your tree! |
