Perilla is a member of the Lamiaceae (mint) family, and looks very much like coleus. It has showy foliage in hot pink, green and deep plum shades, helping it make a striking statement in garden beds and large mixed containers. Loves the heat! Great combined with flowering annuals. Grows 3' high and about 1' wide.

Fertilize monthly with an all-purpose fertilizer for best growth; more often if planted in containers. Keep soil moderately moist. Leaves display a bold pink hue in full sun; green and plum shades predominate in the shade.
