Gaura is a perennial, native to Texas and Louisiana. It has an airy growth habit, reaching 2 1/2 - 4 feet high, and 2-3 feet wide. The plant produces branching flower spikes which bear many closely set, 1-inch long blossoms. Gaura is a long-lived plant, and has a deep taproot, making it quite drought tolerant. Guara thrives in full sun.
