The Q&A Archives: Elephant's Ear Plant

Question: What is the name of an Elephant's Ear that has large white flowers?

Thank you

Answer: Your plant is Alocasia macrorrhiza. After the flowers fade, the flower spike will develop reddish fruit which will give the spike the look of corn on the cob. When you've finished admiring the spike, you can cut it off. Your Elephant's Ear will develop another flowering spike in a year or two.
