why is my nephrolepis exaltata getting dry on the ends, I mist it aprox. 4-7 times a day? |
Your fern may be reacting to too much direct light (dappled light is best), temperatures that are too warm (75F is it's preferred maximum), soil that's too dry, over-fertilization, or minerals in the water. You can try moving it to a site that provides bright, indirect light; watering with bottled water; keeping the soil moist but not soggy wet; using a quarter-strength dilution of liquid fertilizer every week; and misting daily, or setting the container on a tray of pebbles to which you add water as it evaporates. This will increase humidity all around the plant. Best wishes with your fern! |
