What are the names of your Camellias that can take sun or shade? I saw a few on your plant search, but I can't seem to fine them now.
I have a north facing fence that gets some afternoon (from about 1pm till sunset) sun, but only in the summer from mid June to about the first week in August.
Will any of your Camellias work here? I live in Zone 9,
San Jose-Bay Area.

thanks,
Darrin

Camellia's generally prefer shade to partially shady conditions, but the Camellia sasanqua varieties will perform equally well in sun or shade. Here's a listing, along with flower color:
'Apple Blossom'; white with red edged petals
'Bonanza'; scarlet flowers
'Chansonette' and 'Jean May'; pink
'Kanjiro' and 'Shishi Gashira'; rose-pink
'White Dove' and 'Setsugekka'; white
'Yuletide'; red blooms
Any of the above varieties will thrive in your California garden.
