The King Palm is Archontophoenix, and is native to the rain forests of eastern Australia. It grows to 50' or taller, with a 10-15' spread. Queen Palm is Arecastrum, a Brazilian native, growing upwards of 50' with a 20-25' spread. Queen palm grows faster than the King, and the Queen palm can produce decorative orange date-like fruit. Both palms have glossy green foliage and an upright growth habit.
