Can you give me some information about growing the Hyacinth? Is it a perennial? We are in zone 5 and 6. Is it a hardy flower? Thanks you.

Hyacinths are spring blooming bulbs that come back year after year with a minimum of care. After the flower is spent, cut away the flower stalk but leave the foliage to die back naturally. The leaves transport energy to the bulb for the following year's flower. Hyacinths grow best in full sun / partial shade, in rich, well drained soil.

Plant new bulbs in early fall - as soon as they are available in the stores.
