I'm looking for a tree that would give us at least a 20' screen but require very little width; some sort of columnar. Something like an Italian Cypress, but I need fast growing. Any recommendations? Thank you.

The fastest growing evergreen with a columnar shape is Thuja occidentalis 'Fastigiata' (American arborvitae). This plant is also sold as 'Pyramidalis' and 'Columnaris'. It produces dense, columnar growth to 25' tall while remaining only 2-3' wide. Hope this fits the site!
