Have already purchased flat of Dwarf Mondo Grass. Best way to plant same? Intend to use as edging for "Garden " planted area in front yard. "Garden" is front half of yard
and rear half is Dicondra planted 40 plus yrs ago. What size of clump best and how far apart? No information given at time of purchase. If Mondo needs filtered shade, it will be under a 50 yr.old Magnolia tree that is kept relatively thinned and trimmed. Southern exposure.

Dwarf Mondo grass forms dense clumps 3"-6" high and wide. Mondo grass is quite adaptable; in your gardening region you can plant in full sun to part shade. Break the flat up into 2"-3" pieces and plant the divisions 3"-6" apart (depending upon how quickly you want them to grow together). When your plants become overcrowded, dig and divide in the early spring.
