The Q&A Archives: Dogwoods

Question: What is the best dogwood (tree form) for the SF bay area?

Answer: I'd plant Cornus kousa 'Satomi', the Pink japanese Dogwood. It is native to Japan and is well adapted to your cool, short summers. 'Satomi' grows best in full sun, reaching a height of 15' at maturity.

Best wishes with your landscape!
