I would like to plant a Star Jasmine and have it trellised in front of a window. This window faces directly North and gets very little sun during the summer and none during winter. It is a bright location though. How well will the Jasmine grow in this location. |
Jasmine grows best in full sun or light shade, so you may be disappointed in the growth and flowering if you plant it in full shade. Parthenocissus henryana (Silvervine Creeper), or P. inserta (Virginia Creeper) might be better choices for the site. Both take full shade. Neither flowers, but the foliage changes colors when the weather cools in the autumn. |
