When should I cut back my red leaved fountain grass? Or do I just pull it out and get a fresh one?

You won't need to cut your fountain grass back until next spring, just as new growth appears. The nice thing about ornamental grasses is that they provide four-season interest. In the winter, when the leaves die, they persist on the plant and provide interest in the garden. In the spring you can pull the blades up and away from the crown of the plant to make room for the new foliage. As your fountain grass matures it will grow into a lovely clump about 2' in diameter.

Enjoy!
