Should I trim back my Fountain Grass in the fall and split the clumps? If so how far should I trim them back?

It's best to leave your Fountain Grass alone until springtime. When the weather warms you you start to see new growth appear, dig and divide the mounds. Remove the old foliage by combing through it with your fingers and pulling straight up.

Best wishes with your garden!
