I just planted the "little rascal" holly and I love its look, especially the red/purple tints. Do you intend to bring out a female version of this shrub? Or do I need to find another hybrid that blooms at the same time if I want to have berries. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,

'Little Rascal' is a male and will pollinate Ilex x meserveae females (blue hollies). At this point, there is no female holly with similar colored foliage. 'Blue Girl' has dense blue-green foliage; 'Blue Princess' has dense blue-green foliage on purple stems. Either of these hollies will set berries when planted in the landscape with your 'Little Rascal'.

Enjoy!
