What type of annuals are best to plant in my area during the winter months?

Some good winter annuals are pansies, stock, petunias, and snapdragon. Sweet peas planted in November will produce blossoms in early spring.

Be sure to provide your annuals with a good, rich soil--if your soil is quite sandy add lots of organic matter like compost to enrich it.
