I live in Zone 8. I need to plant flowers and shrubs that will look nice in September. I will be getting married in my backyard. I prefer to have perennials and need them to grow rapidly as it is fast approaching September. Please help with any suggestions. Full sun in one area and morning sun in another.

Christy,

Some fall bloomers include: Mexican Bush Sage (Salvia leucantha), Mexican Mint Marigold (Tagetes lucida), Angel's Trumpet (Brugmansia), and Coral Vine (Antigonon leptopus). You can also plant the large flowered types of Marigold in mid August for a good September show.
