I just move to a new house which only has Bermuda grass in the very front of it but no to the sides. Is it better to seed or to sod the sides?

Juan,

You can either sod or seed that area. Sod is faster but more expensive. To save a little money you can sod in strips placed about a foot apart and the bermda will quickly fill in. Fertilize with a 3-1-2 or 4-1-2 ratio product every 8 weeks this first year. Your Home Depot garden center can recommend appropriate products. Water regularly and mow weekly to help the turf fill in fast.
