The Q&A Archives: deer problem

Question: sure way of getting rid of deer that eat my various plante.

Answer: In my own sad experience, a tall fence is the only reliable long term defense against these creatures, especially in an area where the pressure is severe. Repellents may also be effective if consistently applied and reapplied according to the label instructions, but this is a lot of work if your plantings are extensive.

Sometims it is possible to plant things that they do not like quite as much in the hope that the plants will be left alone. Although deer may still eat just about anything if they are hungry enough and/or the winter is severe enough, here are some lists of plants that deer typically prefer or typically leave untouched along with additional tips on protecting your landscaping.

I hope this helps!
