| Yes, you need to provide drainage at the bottom of the pot because these plants require a well aerated soil. They should not sit in a saucer of run off water, either. If you have decorative pots you may be able to use them as an outer "cache pot" and slip a slightly smaller normal pot inside them. Prop it up off the bottom of the outer pot so any drained water will not contact the bromeliad soil. Bromeliads usually do well in a somewhat undersized pot so you may not need to repot them at all.
