I am a horticulture student and will be growing a crop of my choice soon. I want to grow the 1997 perennial of the year, but can not find what it is? Can you help me? |
According to The Perennial Plant Association, Salvia 'May Night' ('Mainacht') was the Perennial Plant of the Year for 1997 (available from Carroll Gardens, 444 E. Main St., Westminster, MD 21157; ph# 800/638-6334). In case you are interested, the 1998 Perennial Plant of the year will be Purple Coneflower, Echinacea purpurea 'Magnus' (available from Burpee - see the on-line catalog, or call 800/888-1447). |
