Zoysia can be very difficult to eradicate from a lawn. I would suggest you consult with your county extension as to how to go about this. They will also be able to recommend which grass seed varieties do best in your local climate and soil and provide you with instructions on how to prepare the soil and do the seeding. They will also be able to help you with doing some basic soil tests and interpreting the results. You will need to start by testing your soil and then work from there with the preparation. Good luck with your lawn!
