I have problems with several insects-one is a bright yellow tiny insect that feeds on new growth, tiny white furry bugs and finally, hard, brown round coverings on stems. What are they and how do I get rid of them? It would also be helpful if you could provide pictures of them so I can be sure of the insect.

Karen,

I am not able to make a positive identification based on those descriptions as they could refer to several different pests. Unfortunately we are not set up to receive photo attachments in our Q&A system. I suggest you take a sample of the insects to your County Extension Office or a local retail garden center for identification, and if necessary, control recommendations.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
