I have 2 hibiscus trees, one pink, and one yellow. Both trees are on the same side of the lawn about 45 feet apart; both were planted at the same time, and both are producing flowers. The tree with the yellow flowers is growing but the tree with the pinkflowers is still the same size as when planted. How can I get the pink hibiscus tree to grow? |
Believe it or not, some cultivars of hibiscus are more vigorous than others and are different sizes at maturity. The difference in growth rates could be attributed to the difference in cultivars, but might also be because the yellow one has becomeestablished in its new home and the pink one is still trying to adjust. Was the soil similar when you planted them? Continue to treat them equally, prune a bit to encourage more growth on the pink one, and exercise some patience. |
