The Q&A Archives: flowers to keep the bugs out of your garden

Question: I was told that there is a flower than you should plant in your garden to keep the bugs out, but i can not remember what it was called. do you have any idea?

thank you

Answer: Jamie,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question as we are transitioning to a new Q&A system. I hope this reply is not too late to be of help.

I wish such a flower existed! There is not a flower that will keep bugs out of the garden. Some plants repel bugs from their own foliage but do not create a large area around them where bugs will not go. If the bugs find a plant they like, they will attack it no matter what else is in the garden.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
