For a steep sunny slope, you could try low growing junipers. Your local county extension and/or local nursery staff should have additional suggestions based on a more detailed understanding of the planting site and your design goals. There are many different plants you could use depending on the soil type, how windy it is, the height of plant you need, how fast you want coverage, how much you want to spend, and so on. Good luck with your project!
