The Q&A Archives: Ground Cover Plant

Question: In an earlier response to another questioner on your site you recommended a plant

Answer: Hieracium aurantiacum is the botanical name for Orange Hawkeye. It has naturalized in dry regions of the U. S. and is currently on the Noxious Weed lists in many counties. While at one time it was available from nurseries, it is no longer grown for sale. Another case of an introduced plant escaping cultivation.
